Sean J. Partridge (“I,” “me,” or “my”) operates seanjpartridge.co (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Website collects, how that information is used and disclosed, and the choices available to you.

Information collected

Information you provide

When you submit the contact form, I may collect your name, email address, the type of project or service you are interested in, your message, and information you provide in later communications.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, financial account information, passwords, health information, or other sensitive personal information through the Website.

Information collected automatically

The Website, its hosting provider, security services, and WordPress may automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages requested, access times, and error or security logs.

The contact form creates a short-lived, one-way hash derived from an IP address to help prevent spam and repeated submissions. This rate-limiting record expires after approximately one minute.

How information is used

Information may be used to respond to inquiries, evaluate and perform consulting engagements, operate and secure the Website, detect spam or abuse, maintain appropriate business records, protect legal rights, and comply with applicable obligations.

Contact-form information is not used for unrelated marketing unless you separately request or consent to those communications.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Website may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for WordPress administration, security, form protection, hosting, or basic operation. The current theme does not independently install advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral advertising technology.

If analytics, advertising, embedded media, or additional tracking services are added, this policy and any applicable privacy controls will be updated. Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies, although blocking essential cookies may affect Website functions.

How information is disclosed

Information may be disclosed to website-hosting, email-delivery, security, backup, and technical service providers; professional advisers; government agencies or courts when required by law; or a successor in connection with a sale, reorganization, or transfer of the business.

Service providers may use information only as reasonably necessary to provide their services or meet applicable legal obligations. I do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Third-party websites and services

The Website may link to third-party services, including LinkedIn, résumé or document-hosting services, and an appointment-booking service. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. Following an external link may allow that third party to collect information about your visit.

Data retention

Contact inquiries and correspondence are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, evaluate or perform an engagement, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Server, security, and backup information is retained according to the practices of the applicable service providers.

Information that is no longer reasonably needed is deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of where practical and legally permitted.

Data security

Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are used to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, secure hosting, software updates, spam protection, backups, and limited access to inquiries.

No website, email transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a security incident involving protected information occurs, notices will be provided when required by applicable law.

Your choices and privacy requests

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information maintained about you. Submit a request through the contact form. I may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Certain information may be retained when required for legal, security, accounting, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate purposes. You may opt out of nonessential marketing email at any time, although necessary transactional or inquiry-related messages may still be sent.

Browser privacy signals

Because there is not currently a universally accepted standard for “Do Not Track” signals, the Website may not respond to them. The Website does not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Legally recognized browser-based opt-out signals will be honored where required and relevant to the Website’s practices.

Children’s privacy

The Website and consulting services are intended for business and professional audiences and are not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Please contact me if you believe a child submitted information through the Website.

Visitors outside the United States

The Website is operated from New York, United States. If you access it from another country, information may be processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the Website, service providers, information practices, or applicable law. The revised policy will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
